PENNRIDGE YELLOWJACKETS SOCCER ASSOCIATION

The Pennridge Yellowjackets Soccer Association is a community based program that promotes youth soccer in the local area. This past summer, there were over 1,200 boys and girls registered in our intramural program. This resulted in over 80 teams ranging in age groups from our PeeWee Division (ages 4 - 5) up to our Co-ed Division, which consists of ages 14 and over. There were over 350 games played within all age groups.

The intramural season starts in June and runs for approximately six weeks. The PeeWee division plays there games on Saturday mornings, while the remaining age groups play throughout the weeknight. PYSA runs two sessions each night, the first session starting from 6:00 - 7:00 PM and the second running from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. All games have paid referees.

Our philosophy is to promote soccer in a way that a child can enjoy the game, while learning the basic fundamentals. The intramural program is not a competitive program which simply means ... we don't keep track of score and standings. Every child receives a T-shirt with a number on it as well as a sponsor name that represents their team.

The Pennridge Yellowjackets Soccer Association holds their General Meeting on the third Wednesday of each month during the year. These meetings are designed to inform the members of our club of any upcoming events, as well as any issues or concerns that need to be addressed. The meetings are held at the Perkasie First Savings Bank, located on Market Street (Shelly's Hardware parking lot) and start promptly at 7:30 PM.

As with any volunteer organization, PYSA can always use any additional time that you can spare to help out in many areas. Start the year off on the right foot by registering your child for soccer.
