Hi Team Giant Parents,
It's game time tomorrow and it's gonna be an awesome day!! The
kids worked really hard and had a great practice last night. We went through all of our Batman and
Superman formations/plays, and they executed very well with all of them at each
position. I also put some special
emphasis on team defensive drills and they really hustled and did great. I was really proud of each of them to say the
least!!
Game is at
1:00 on Field 3. I know you all received
an email earlier this week from Cory about parking, but I wanted to remind
everyone that it may be rough finding a spot tomorrow, as well as bad traffic,
due to the Buttercup Festival.
Definitely give yourself extra time getting to the field to make sure
you are there on time. If the normal parking
lot is full, the best default is probably the parking lot by the old soccer
fields. Just remember that you will have
to walk from there to Field 3, so definitely give yourself plenty of extra
time.
Here are a few other reminders for
tomorrow's game:
- Please be at Field 3 about 20 minutes early if at all
possible, just so I can make sure all of the players have their uniforms
and flags on properly, and to also put them through a quick warm-up so they
are ready to go when the game starts.
- We are the Away team tomorrow, so we'll be wearing the
white side of the reversible jersey.
- Weather shows it will be an awesome 63 degrees
with full sunshine at game time, so it should be a great day to play flag
football!!
- Remember mouthpieces. The referees will not let you
play without them. I'll have a few extras just in case though.
- Remember a water bottle.
